Read previous reviews and they seemed quite positive. Stopped in for the best fish 'n chips. Surprised at how close to the tourists (Picadilly) it was located, and still frequented by the locals. Great beer and love all the natural light.

It's not easy for me to review an English Pub, they all seem the same...I can say that we arrived at the St.James just a few minutes before the kitchen stopped working and anyway we get our roostburgers without complaints with a pint of good Brains. Never had a so fleshy chikken!! The girls were so kind and the place... More

Good and well located English pub. Recommend the fish n' chips and Yorkshire puddings. Could be a little less pricey.

Classic English pub. Great atmosphere, good selection of beers, delicious steak and ale pie. If you are looking where to drink a pint around Piccadilly Circus it would be a good option.

Very friendly atmosphere on a genuine english pub. Great location, for a snack before or after a theatre session. We only tried the starters, but were great.

I discovered St. James tavern by wondering around Piccadilly Circus with some friends. The pub is fine, good choices of beers and a nice selection of beers. The service is excellent and the waitresses are really kind. Unfortunately I had not the chance to try their food but I suggest you to try it if you are around there!

We ended up here after trying to search out a decent pint of cask ale and a traditional pub lunch. It seems that is something of a mission in central London these days as most places are only serving trendy bottled beers, wines and overpriced food. The St. James tavern did what it said on the tin. Good quality, cask... More

Some friends and I were hoping to find a memorable pub atmosphere with some great fish and chips....and we found it! St. James Tavern is a gem! We loved this place. If you are looking for a fun British pub experience, then this is the place for you. In late April, my girlfriends and I took the Eurostar for a... More

Only went there for a few drinks with our friends. Ordered a Tia Maria with milk and it tasted devine. The atmosphere was good. We didnt order any food but saw a few people ordering food and we thought they look delicious. In the end we settled for dinner at Wahaca (please see reviews on Wahaca). This pub is a... More

Well, just like the sign outside says.....Best Fish & Chips. I thought for sure this was a typical gimmick but I decided to give it a try. Not disappointed one bit! This was the best fried fish I've had. Didn't need to load it up with salt to get any flavor. The chips were so so but I didn't care.... More
