We celebrated my best friends birthday on the Orient Express for lunch followed by a visit to Sissinghurst Gardens. From start to end it was an amazing day which more than met our expectations. The stewards were attentive and charming taking photos and serving a fabulous meal. It is a day that we shall never forget. I think we were... More

I did a UK day trip on the Venice Simplon Orient Express from Victoria to Deal and what a great day it was. The carriages are all slightly different with different names, ours was Minerva. We had a lovely lunch of leek soup, followed by salmon and then cheesecake. On our return journey we had afternoon tea with scones plus... More

This was our 2nd time on the Orient Express and we loved every moment. Both the British Pullman and Venice Simplon trains have been beautifully restored with a wonderful atmosphere. Staff were always willing to help and to ensure you were happy with everything. Jake our cabin steward was excellent as was Rupert last time. If you did not like... More

I did the train ride from Singapore to Bangkok over 7 days. Our trip was supposed to start in Singapore, but due to a train derailment, we had to bug over to Malaysia to board the train there. A bit inconvenient, but not too bad. Especially as the bus we took had good internet access. Once we reached the station... More

The whole family took this luxury train ride from Bangkok to Singapore for 3 days 3 nights, from Apr 1 to Apr 4. It also makes the return journey which it takes on a shorter timeframe, 3 days 2 nights. It supposedly has BKK-to-Vientiane and back but those are limited runs. E&O is part of the group that runs the... More

A very comfortable way to travel and see some of the rural areas of Malaysia & Thailand. The State compartment accommodation was more than adequate for the two nights & three days we were on board. The E&O staff, from the very smooth check-in at The Regent Hotel in Singapore and through out the entire journey, were exemplary in providing... More

This trip had been eagerly anticipated - we were not let down. The overall experience of seeing interesting countries at close hand while enjoying top class cuisine with a bit dressing up glamour was unique. Miscellaneous observations are as follows: Pullman cabins - these are adequate with en suite shower/toilet facilities. Travellers need to be certain they get along with... More

It was a good experience! We opted for Venice to London. It was magnificent scenery going from Italy into Austria. Our two French stewards Teibho (Can't spell) and Julien were lovely! (they made the journey for us!) It was a very good experience, not sure if I'd do it again as because the train is so old the rooms are... More
