I live in the area and have been coming to Baker and Spice for years but won't be bothering anymore. The service is absolutely terrible and the attitude of the staff is a joke. I came in the other weekend in my gym gear and was completely ignored with not one person acknowledging me for 5 minutes even though the... More

The title sums up everything. It used to be one of my favorite places for an early Sunday morning breakfast with my family and friends... Not any more. The staff need to learn the basic customer service principles (being friendly, polite and break a smile or two from time to time). Although I have no objection paying for good food... More

I have always been a fan of Baker and Spice and have visited the Maida Vale branch on a number of occasions whilst staying with friends in the areas but after my recent breakfast experience I will never go again! The place looks so attractive with all the bright colourful salads and amazing baked goods but the service was so... More

Baker & Spice Maida Vale is on my way home after coming back from the gym, so I often stop for lunch on Saturdays. I really like the atmosphere...and sitting by the window watching the passers by (if it's sunny, it's great to sit outside). You can choose from a relatively wide variety of foods, usually quite healthy. My absolute... More

I paid about £7 for one Americano and one croissant in my local branch. Neither had gold leaf on and I eat out every weekend so am used to London breakfast prices. The bread's good but I would sit at their table again. More

This is beyond belief that I was just charged more than £3 for a brownie (so called "Hazelnut" although there was no sight/ taste of it) that was too dry to cut with a knife. They should remove the food and sell the seats. "If you'd like to seat in this shop for up to an hour, please pay £7... More

I've been here many times (in Queen's Park and in Little Venice) because the food is excellent (both the baked goods and the salads). However, I'm giving up on them because the prices are TOTALLY outrageous. 12 pounds for an omelette with one topping. Pay through the nose for cookies and baked goods too. And the service is lousy. 10... More

I lived in London for 4 years, and Baker and Spice is the best! Now, in NYC, there is nothing that compares to this excellent bakery and I dream of the almond pain au chocolat or the fresh fruit tarts. This is a must stop for anyone in London. More
