This world-class collection of over 100 aircraft, aviation and wartime memorabilia offers a fun day out for all the family. Don’t forget to visit our awe inspiring sound and light show that takes you back in time to the Battle of Britain. Better yet admission to the museum is free of charge. The Museum is open daily from 10am to 6pm. This May the Museum has a range of events that are dedicated to the Dambusters, the men of 617 Squadron. From 13th to 17th we will have on display a mini exhibition about the Dambusters including items not normally seen by the public such as original reconnaissance photography and part of the Mohne Dam. On 17th at 3:30pm we will have having, subject to weather conditions, a Lancaster Flypast over the Museum by the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and we will be opening the Museum til late on 17th for Dambusters Night an evening of activities that explores all things Dambusters. On the 19th the Museum will be hosting the 4th annual Hendon Model Show, when 70 modelling clubs from around the U.K. will have on display to the public over 3,500 models. We end the month with Search and Rescue Week, which will run from the 27th of May to 31st and where we give families the opportunity to learn about RAF Search and Rescue Operations. « less

Accepting that this type of museum is generally for those with an interest in aircraft I feel that anyone can visit it to appreciate what is an excellent collection, with many great aircraft from the history of the RAF. First the location is not one that you would perhaps associate with this type of museum, but there is ample parking... More

My boyfriend is really into almost everything concerning wars and he loved the museum and honestly, so did I :P You have a broad range of different air planes and it's set up quite nicely. You don't pay an entrance fee, but we thought it was worth it to put something in the donation box.

Went there with small children aged 18 months old, 2 1/2 and 4 1/2 yo. The 3 of them enjoyed the place. It is amazing for them to see real aeroplanes and some helicopters as well. Also myself liked it. Easy to access there, from Mill hill station or Edgware station take the bus 303, it will drop you at... More

Took the tube out to the museum with my wife and 16 year old nephew. The museum was an easy 10 minute walk from the tube station. Lots of aircraft to look at and the price is right, free. You can get up close to the exterior of the planes but would have been nice to be able to see... More
