Hampstead Heath is just a short Tube or bus ride from London. A must visit if you need a break from busy London and easy to get to. The views are spectacular with the ponds, woods, walkways, and the view of London from the top of Parliament Hill. Its also a chance to see the locals taking walks and enjoying... More

It is one of my "must do" things when I go to London. I did an early morning walk and ended up at kenwood house for breakfast. Love Hampstead Heath. Nice that there is such a natural beautiful wooded area and parkland in the north of London. Can walk through and get a view over the city of London. Bird... More

The Heath is a great way to spend a few hours or even a day when you are visiting London. It is an excellent escape from the pressure and pollution. As well as recharging your batteries and reacquainting yourself with nature (it is surprisingly large with plenty of flora and fauna) you will find nearby plenty of lovely cafes, restaurants... More

My favourite part of the heath is Kenwood House, which I love to wander round, stop for a tea or coffee in the garden, then have a walk around the grounds. Beautiful plants, flowers and trees in fabulous colours. More

To stand on the heights of Hampstead Heath and view London from this almost rural setting is almost surreal. Below is a City that has been the centre of our planet for many centuries yet despite the decline in power and influence it attracts people from all over the Globe to connect with it's history. From Hampstead Heath that history... More

This is a perrenial favourite for us. The walks / vistas are varied. Easy to get 'lost' in the countryside as you wander onto Parliment Fields or mooch towards West Hampstead for a coffee. A visit to Kenwood House is always interesting. Refreshments in the Stable Yard are always good. I love their lavender cake. More

We were lucky enough to visit Hampstead Heath on a fine sunny day at Easter. Although the weather was still cool, it was a lovely day for exploring the vast park. We had been in central London for several days, and friends suggested that this was a great place for a long walk. They were absolutely right. It is easily... More
