Hampstead Heath is just a short Tube or bus ride from London. A must visit if you need a break from busy London and easy to get to. The views are spectacular with the ponds, woods, walkways, and the view of London from the top of Parliament Hill. Its also a chance to see the locals taking walks and enjoying...

If you manage to get a sunny afternoon then head up to the heath for a break from the concrete and a great view!

It is one of my "must do" things when I go to London. I did an early morning walk and ended up at kenwood house for breakfast. Love Hampstead Heath. Nice that there is such a natural beautiful wooded area and parkland in the north of London. Can walk through and get a view over the city of London. Bird...

The Heath is a great way to spend a few hours or even a day when you are visiting London. It is an excellent escape from the pressure and pollution.
As well as recharging your batteries and reacquainting yourself with nature (it is surprisingly large with plenty of flora and fauna) you will find nearby plenty of lovely cafes, restaurants...

My favourite part of the heath is Kenwood House, which I love to wander round, stop for a tea or coffee in the garden, then have a walk around the grounds. Beautiful plants, flowers and trees in fabulous colours.

A visit to Kenwood House is always interesting. Refreshments in the Stable Yard are always good. I love their lavender cake.

We had been in central London for several days, and friends suggested that this was a great place for a long walk. They were absolutely right. It is easily...
