We happened to choose vintage day in the apple market which takes place on monday's only.The kids loved finding bargain broaches and old military hats and medals all at surprisingly cheap prices. More

The Covent Garden Market is a pretty big place, but the Apple Market is very well marked and easy to find. In the northern section, it comprises one of the corridors between the fixed shops. You might expect a market in the centre of Covent Garden to be a horrible tourist trap (there is one nearby - the Jubilee Market which you should avoid), but the Apple Market is really lovely and has good quality British crafters selling their work. It's possible to commission personalised items, buy tasteful things and even speak to the designers... More
