What more can you say? It looks pretty cool, I guess, though the more interesting part of the area is bustling Trafalgar Square itself. More

A must see landmark in Trafalgar Square, either as part of a stroll around the sights of London (Parliament Square up Whitehall, to here, possibly through Admiralty Arch, to Buckingham Palace) or as part of a visit to the National Gallery (or its smaller sister, the National Portrait Gallery next door). Don't miss it! More

Kids love the fact that you can still climb up to the Lions, it's brilliant, there are toilets on the site, it's right next to the Gallery and you can just walk up to Leiccester Square to enjoy some Chinese food afterwards. Nice. More

It's worth seeing, but there isn't a whole lot to Nelson's Column. It's a column. You see it, look at it for a little bit, read the plaque, take a picture, then look at your map and see where to go next. It isn't the most amazing thing you will ever seen in your entire life. Much better since the re-working of the traffic and pedestrian access; you can see the scale of the square and the surrounding buildings to much better effect. More
