I revisited this market again after a 30 year gap. I must say its not what it used to be. It used to sell a very varied range of products with all the local london banter you expected to hear. Sad to say it seems to have lost the variety of product and is now mostly tacky clothing stalls with... More

This is a big market , mostly clothing. My wife bought various outfits at good prices. You will see women with suitcases to carry their purchases. There is ethnic clothes as well as more european clothes. Combine this with a terip to the Sunday Up Market on Brick Lane where you will see an enormous international food selection. Lots of... More

It was a waste of time. We were wondering around, but could not see anything else, but a lot of cheap, low quality copy cat stuff. The stench of the food stalls was repulsive too and they looked filthy too. It was also very poorly presented. It was a 3rd world country market more then anything! There are nicer spots... More

Don't stop with this average stall shopping street .,the entire area is full with great places to shop and eat. Best for a Sunday when all the markets are open in this area. Old Spitalfields is my favorite - 09- 1700 including international food stalls Brick Lane 08-15 Upmarket on Hanbery street 10- 17 You can reach all these markets... More

Would love to say Petticoat lane was good but it was terrible, I was sure I was in the wrong place. Brick lane is a short 10 minute walk and is worth a visit for the indoor food market alone! More

DON'T come here. It's just crappy stuff, they're selling maybe the most awful shirts in UK, and defintely the worst neckties. The so-called "oriental clothes" are just more crap. More

Basically you can find all sorts of fake brand clothings here but the quality of the items are quite doubtful. And beware of stall vendors trying to quote random price to you when there are no price attach to the clothings. They basically judge you by the way you dress, if you look like your rich, they quote the price... More

Coming from NZ - this was a truely new experience to markets for me and I loved it. Unfortunately I was too aware of my ever shrinking weight allowance for the trip home or I would have spent alot more. More
