Guide Declan McHugh has been on television and radio and thousands come each year to learn about Jack the Ripper, other London serial killers, witchcraft, executions, conspiracy theories etc. Meets outside the only exit at Barbican station and ends two hours later at Holborn underground station. « less

Walking a couple of hours late night with Declan, a master of horror story telling, provides a historic and very informative quest through the most gruesome events of this magnificent city. The tour leads You through some very creepy alleys, which I, as a tourist, would never choose to walk on my own - and accompanied by Declan's very detailed... More

I ventured on this walk with my other half as a treat for him and it was brilliant! I learnt so much about hidden history and it brings you back to a time of a completely different society. Every bit of information (alot) given on this tour was interesting and unique in it's own way and you also learn about... More

Our guide was fantastic with typical dry English humor. The tour lasted two hours and consisted of very brisk walking interspersed with stops/commentary at sights of historic crimes and spooky alleyways. Our group was small and the guide drew everyone in personally throughout the evening. As the booking confirmation stated, it's a good idea to use the bathroom before you... More

This was one of my mom's favorite activities of our trip to London. Our guide was witty and interesting. It was a great night time activity and while I was unsure of the tour at first, I am glad that we did it. Besides the obvious grueling stories, the only word of caution is that the tour was fast pace... More

If you got the time, please give yourself the pleasure of 2 hours of info / entertainment. Expect to be a part of the tour ! Don't be shy, If you answer wrong - so what... For my part - I'm more "stupid" than 3 12-years boys (and I'm in my mid 40's)... Damn it.... Put on your walking shoes... More

It was amazing, it is the best attraction I have been to in London. You can tell that Declan (the man who does the walk) loves his job and he is extremley passionate. It was terrifying, It is so cheap for the service you get. I would definatley go again! I would recommend this to anyone. More

The pace is brisk, the subject matter grisly. But fun. Forgetting the subject matter, I'll bet that you cover more of historic London on this tour than you could ever do otherwise in 2 hours. And the guide is a storyteller with flair...and not a little mischief in finding ways to tickle your scary bone. I'm looking forward to the... More

Declan McHugh knows his stuff. Fun and informative walking tour around the streets and alleyways of London. Fit this into your schedule if you can. Can't wait for his book to come out. More

I'm not sure where to start. This tour was recommended by the London Pass and as I am a fan of the spooky, I took a chance on this walking tour of the London streets at night. I am no stranger to serial killer history, having studied American serial killers in college- so not much about these guys freaks me... More

You can't win them all. The previous reviewer gave my tour 5 stars and titled it "Excellent - can't wait for the book". A couple of factual points: I do not have only 4-5 historically based stories in this two hour tour! It's more like 15 fully-researched detailed stories. The guessing games side of things makes it interactive and I... More
