one of liverpools oldest and most historical buildings, situated out of the city centre, near liverpools speke airport,(about 5 miles from city centre, contains a wealth of history of liverpools past life, and despite the airport being quite near,is situated in quite grounds and gardens that is pleasant to walk round(as long as weather is fine) More

This National Trust property is a superb example of a Tudor great house, both house and gardens are well maintained and well worth a visit. The audio guide is very helpful, and the human guides even more so- helpful, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and humorous. More

A beautiful Tudor building with a great story to tell. Amazing plaster ceilings in some of the rooms and a magnificent grand hall with wonderfully carved wooden panelling. More

This is a really fascinating place to visit, and not too far from the city centre. All the guides are very good - full of information and stories about the history of the house and the people who lived there. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. More

Have been going to Speke Hall for almost forty years and still finding surprises. Natiional Trust property that ticks all the boxes - black and white, creaky floor boards, original artefacts and beautiful gardens. Knowledgeable volunteers in the rooms who know the history of the house. More
