I did not go inside the church, but behind the church is a school now where John Lennon met Paul McCartney for the first time on July 6th 1957, thus being a very historic location for Beatles fans. It's warm, it's light, and the worshippers are friendly. Monseigneur John is gentle and the atmosphere has a sincerity about it that permeates through and through

The site where musical history was made when Paul McCartney met John Lennon on Saturday, 6 July 1957 at the Woolton Garden fete. There is a plaque marking the spot where they met inside the grounds.

with close links to woolton village and the school Bishop Martin St peters has a lovely freindly warm atmosphere. Graham is full of knowlwge. plenty of people to ask about graves of interest.

St. Peters is a very interesting church to visit with a big churchyard to have a look at. It is at the heart of a lovely village that you really must see

I visited here as part of the the beatles fab four taxi tour which was great Set in woolton village which really does have a lovely local feel about it
