The house actually belonged to de Quincy (of Opium Eater fame) for far longer than Wordsworth! There's little furniture of WW's but some possessions - the house is more interesting just as an example of its era. You can no longer see the views he had. I enjoyed the tour of Dove Cottage. It was a very hot Saturday afternoon and my husband and myself were the only 2 people on the tour. The guide was very informative. It was a shame that you couldn't take photos. Well worth a visit. More
