Wassand is our local Stately Home and we love it, the owners take great pride in being on hand personally which makes a visit even more special. The surrounding area is really beautiful too as the house has wonderful views of Hornsea Mere which is part of the Wassand Estate. Highly recommend a visit look out for opening times on... More

On open days it is a lovely experience to sit in the walled garden or in the conservatory to sample the wonderful array of home-made cakes and pastries. Children and dogs are made very welcome and the beautiful garden provides a great backdrop.

We had free time to enjoy the gardens and the woodland walk. There are fine views of Hornsea Mere from the grounds too. Well worth a visit on... More

What a beautiful house, very homely and welcoming......I felt I could live there! Lovely easy walks around the grounds and gardens, not forgetting the afternoon tea in the conservatory/orangery set in the walled garden, lovely home baked cakes and good tea.
