The place was very nice and interesting. When talking to the man he informed us that it took him around two tears to get it up and running and then sadly after only six months from opening he died and has not been open since. If the place re-opened i would happily go again.

Having negotiated the 'arch' on many occasions we (2 adults and 4 kids) finally happened to be passing on foot and I managed to convince everyone else to visit! After leaving them all in the reception in order to sprint to the far end of town to find an ATM, (N.B. Entry fee was only in cash!), I made my... More

With a very affordable entrance fee, the westgate museum provides a fantastic exhibition of the history of Canterbury and the history of the arch itself from ancient Kentish kings to a victorian prison, the museum is so interesting at the same time as being humble and quaint. You can go up to the roof and look over Canterbury and see... More

Just OK. But recent extensive works must have improved this iconic feature of our historic city. Go for it if your in the town. (Whoops...I mean City.)

We had an hour spare in Canterbury before our meal booking. It was interesting, although not a huge amount to see. The views from the top of the towers were nice.

On a hot day I really enjoyed visiting the old prison cells and I liked the old rickety doors. There were a lot of quirky little rooms, with interesting snippets. Liked the newspaper cuttings of the prisoners, many were women. Kids could do some brass rubbing. Nice views from the top. Nice old postcards. If you are a resident of... More

These medieval towers hold a small museum, mainly weaponry, but the main thing about this place is that it served for the larger part of its existence as jail and one can peep into the prison cells.
