The weather was glorious and so was the views,there was some lovely rhodadenrons and azaleas,the walks were very easy mainly on the flat so very good for wheelchairs and prams.Dogs were allowed in some parts but not all. Picnic areas were great, space was all around you were free to roam wherever you wanted to,it was a very relaxed atmosphere....

This arboretum covers a huge area and you will need at least 4 hours to make the most of it. In wet weather then wellies are essential (obvious i guess) but some people can forget. First time visit and pleasantly surprised. We walked both routes suggested but the older part of the woodland was much more colourful. Both walks about 90 minutes and pleasant walking. Once away from the immediate parking area, you could get away from people easily!
