For my birthday recently, we took the train down to Brighton in the evening, had a reasonable meal, and then went for a walk starting from the pier and heading towards Hove. It was a bit bracing, but very pleasant. A few other couples wandering along and taking photos of the unsettled sunset and stormy sky. All very clean and,... More

It was rather cold and windy but that did not dispell the fun of just walking the pier. It is giagantic!!! More

I love the atmosphere of Brighton Pier and seeing everyone enjoying the good old-fashioned entertainment of the fairground rides, slot machines, the noise and laughter and the'must have' seaside rock, icecreams and candyfloss. A must-do in Brighton. More

Having got over the sudden change in the weather from torential rain and very strong wind to warm sunshine, another stroll here was a definite bonus. Still much the same as when I stayed with my grandparents in the 50's-always a trip down memory lane-the beach bars/cafes are a welcome addition to sit and muse over a drink! More

This reminded me of that seaside fronts used to look like. Not full of tacky souveniers, although they are there if you want them, fresh seafood stalls, cafe's Not far from the Fishermans museum More

Difficult to critic the pier when it had the definate disadvantage of being wet and windy. However the indoor arcade amusements were attracting folk. Some light snack booths (ice-cream, doughnuts, crepes etc) but the larger rides weren't really working in the driving rain. Great view of the seafront. Plus it's free to wander along (and free to pull out a... More

I have done this sooo many times , by foot, bike, roller blades. I love the peter pan swings & cafe and the ovingdean gap cafe. I don't like the lack of clarity for bikes and walkers...bikes ought to have a marked out cycle lane as they use it more that walkers. More

We spent the day exploring the pier, looking at the scenery, playing in all the arcades and even going on the rides, including the roller coaster. There's plenty of things that will keep you entertained. The only downside was that it was windy. More
