We have stayed in Kemp Town on our last couple of stays and have loved it.... much quieter and more relaxed than the "Hen Party" hub that is the main buzz of the city, great little restaurants and boutique hotel/Guest Houses and some really lovely little eateries.

Kemp Town is a very mixed area with plenty of different tearooms/coffee cafes/restaurants as well as various flea markets/curio/antiques shops to wander around. The area also has many independent shops(butchers/post office/loads of hairdressers/pubs. and only a stone's throw to the beach. What more could anyone ask for. I visit the area often.

A community atmosphere, thriving gay bars with fantastic cabaret acts ..even if your not gay - you can still enjoy the atmosphere. Avoid if you are embarassed by the gay scene..Kemptown is also about local shopping and eateries, many pubs ( that are not gay ) near to Brighton Pier ..

Overshadowed by the lovely Regency architecture. This quiet part of Brighton has it's very own charm and feels like a village. Lots of lovely antique shops and independent cafe's and restaurants. Worth taking a stroll away from the madness of Brighton beach.
