The first thing that takes your notice first is the long drive from the road to the house. You will find the car park on the right hand side. Being National Trust members we just showed our cards and went in, the first thing that you come across is the plants for sale and cafe. The cafe is very good... More

We visited this property for the first time today and were very impressed by all it had to offer. Parking was straightforward and very close to the visitor centre. The staff were polite, welcoming and helpful. The house itself was an absolute gem, full of art deco features including Lalique glass. The gardens were outstanding, with a variety of walks(some steep)... More

The location of this property is fabulous. I have never seen such wonderful gardens, the different plant and tree species is incredible and the whole area so well managed. Its well worth the steep climb back up the hill to explore the gardens fully and to access the cliff footpath where you have stunning coastal views. The house reflects so... More

Lovely property with real character. Gardens spectacular although a steep climb down. Nice touch was the pianist playing in the drawing room. An enjoyable trip

What a special place Coleton Fishacre is, I loved it. The gardens have such charm and have so much of interest and colour to enjoy. Its position, snuggled into a sheltered valley is quite delightful and provides a lovely walk down to a coastal view. The house is also very charming and one can only imagine how lovely it would... Well worth the extra mile to get here. The house is so different from many National Trust houses in that it is light and airy with a really homely, family feel to it. Home once to the D'Oyley Carte's, the garden is stunning too.

We heard about this National Trust house after talking to one of the staff at Lanhydrock. She said we wont be disappointed and we certainly were impressed The directions from the lower ferry at Dartmouth were easy. Parking was close to the house and plan to spend at least a couple of hours to tour the house and gardens
