I particularly liked the displays of Crysede block printed fabrics and the fine knitwear. Also fascinated by the steam driven printing press and the diplay about pilchard packing. There are... More

Quirky, quaint you name it and that's The StIves Museum. One reviewer said it needs sprussing up to the Tate standard, it's totally non Tate is what makes it feel so charming. The volunteers are excellent, very knowledgeable, everywhere you look there's something of interest, has the feel of The Old Curosity Shop about it. £2 for me and 50p for... More

lots of memorabilia and some quirky stuff too. although not my cup of tea, I am sure there will be plenty of people who would be attracted to this sort of museum.

The museum is really samll but there's so much in it and it is so cheap to go in. The perfect location on a rainy day. The volunteers who work there are helpful and have a great knowledge of tehir town. The exhibits are brilliant.

You must go to the St Ives Museum. But allow half a day as there are so many things to look at, from the whole history of the town and it's fishing heritage to stories of daring rescues by the RNLI. The entrance fee is so little, they ought to increase it!! The wealth of history and information contained in... More

The old St Ives Museum really needs sprucing up to Tate gallery standards. Currently has some quaint old history & rope but it should be so much more
