We went last year and felt that the admission charge was a bit steep for a modestly sized one man exhibition... but felt, to be fair, we should give it another go this time. I'm afraid we left feeling much the same. The exhibition was of similar size but split between 6 or so contributors... so far fewer pieces from... More

I can remember when this was still the gasworks hovering over the Porthmeor surf beach and they have captured that shape in the gallery. Building is a gem and the changing exhibitions do not disappoint. It does not have a permanent collection so everyone has to pay unlike the other Tates but definitely money well spent if youre not a... More

Two of St Ives' luminaries- Barbara Hepworth and Patrick Heron - alongside some less known artists - Marlow Moss and Allen Ruppersberg-, and those from the current avant garde- Linder, Gareth Jones and Nick Relph . The Hepworth sculptures came alive against the background of Porthmeor Beach, and the silk screen designs by Patrick Heron fascinated, ranging as they did... More

Some of the exhibits did nothing for me but others were very enjoyable. The setting for the display of Hepworth sculptures was excellent with views of Porthmeor Beach in the background and also reflected in the large curved windows. The roof top cafe is an ideal place to eat with an interesting menu of light snacks and great views over... More

7 £ for a very SMALL exibition - that is TOO much. Even though I support art & culture - 7£ was too expensive.

Ok I'm not an art buff, but was let down by the Tate St Ives. It offers a limited number of galleries for the money you pay to get in disappointed by the displays. Some interesting exhibits but needs to make more of the local talent in the town

The tate is £7 to get in and will take you around half an hour to walk round. The exhibits are very minimal and extremely disappointining. Don't make any comparison with the Tate in London because there is none!

Cost about £7 each to get in, given the small number of exhibits this was dreadful...we couldn't believe we had seen everything. The building is lovely and would be great views from the windows if only they had cleaned them. An embarrassment to the Tate in London.

very small, just a few couple of rooms, not much to see. Go to the top floor, nice views from the cafe.
