Fantastic attraction, well worth a vist, and excellent value for money. Plenty to do and see: ship, and museum are packed with stuff. Would have been a 5 out of 5 but free audio guide is poor: numbers hard to find for commentary, and there is no flow; restaurant is overpriced. We got the ferry across to it 70p: well worth... More

Stopped off in Bristol on 18th May 2012 on our way to the Forest of Dean. Wow what a surprise a lovely regenerated city. The SS Great Britain had a long and chequered history prior to her demise in The Falklands. Learnt so much about her and was surprised to actually be able to go inside her. The sounds and... More

Spent a weekend in Bristol and Bath, so visited the SS Great Britain on Sunday morning. We thought Bristol would be a quiet city on Sunday - not one bit! There was also a running race on when arrived and the roads were closed round that area. We could not park in the dockyard, so had a long walk there... More

I've lived in Bristol for the past 6 years and have been putting off going to the SSGB due to the price £12.50, and the fact that I thought it would not be worth the money. After visiting the SSGB last weekend I can say that I was totally correct with my prediction. It was a good way to spend... More

Or in our case grand parents. Yes the grandkids loved the SS Great Britain. It's a chance for a practical lesson in history and a great opportunity to be on the ship itself. If you live close enough you can return free of charge within the 12 month period. More

Although living in the Bristol area we had never visited the Great Britain so decided to end this sorry state of affairs. Firstly you get to go into the dry dock & see the underside of the hull, It is kept very warm & dry so a t-shirt is essential for visiting as you would be too hot in anythign... More
