As you enter through a gateway this 'walled' National Trust treasure brings instant peace and tranquillity; comprising nine enchanting cottages each one an individual design. Built for retired workers for nearby Blaise Castle House around 1811. Some superb photo opportunities.
I get a lot of people coming to visit us and I always take them to Blaise Hamlet. It's such a lovely little place, very well kept and totally cute. And it's free! So what's not to love? And together with Blaise Estate and the fab playground they have there, it makes for a lovely day out with the familiy
If you are visiting Blaise Castle take time to walk around the corner and visit Blaise Hamlet - it is well worth it! The hamlet is a National Trust gem and everytime I have been over the last 50+ years, we have been the only people there.
