Flat cross-country ski trail down a road to get to Cameron lake and not much to see when you get there. Nice and quiet though. More

Rent a canoe, and paddle out towards the far side of the lake. With or without snow on the mountains, the scenery is beautiful. Hiking the well-marked trails is another option. More

After a quick breakfast at Waterton Bagel, we drove to nearby Cameron Lake. Despite the warning signs of neighboring bears, decided to take the short hike along the shoreline and we made noise whenever possible. I love going here to take photos of the wildlife (people included), the lake and the flora and the fauna. It is almost a guarantee that I see a bear or two along the parkway drive in to the lake.
