As a student group we stopped at Castelas for a wonderful description of the olive oil industry. Jean-Benoit Hugues was very informative and sent us away with a new insight into olive oil. It is well worth a visit after visiting the breathtaking Les Baules, the stone mountain village.

I was on a one day tour and one of the stops was here. This place was amazing! Driving up to it, it looked like a big stone hill -not a whole fortress built into the rocks. A delightful castle ruin and village. Tastefully done shops; great restaurants.
Castle was a fantastic experience; young boys loved walking on walls, watching cross-bow shooting; Medieval armour show and use of replica 'catapults'. Views and information really interesting; a great days out.
