I was really glad we stumbled upon this place because it wasn't planned, we just happened to sort of find it. Look it's not a glamorous zoo so for those of you expecting bells and whistles, go somewhere else. What it is, is raw and real, we thought it was just awesome. The staff were extremely friendly and just so... More

Don't expect a giant park. The centre is mainly there for the wolves and to give information. There are 2x 4 wolves in the centre. The first pack is accustomed to people since pup and the other pack is almost wild.

yes, there are a 4 neutered wolves on display- who were reared in captivity. yes, there are the obligatory guides who tell you about the plight of the wolf and how even today the govt of alberta offers 350 CAD for exterminating a wolf. For all their good intentions, i felt it was a big letdown.

Highly recommend seeing wolves in as natural a habitat you can find. Six wolves on site, too domesticated to survive on own. A 45 minute informative talk on the perils facing this gorgeous predators and the chance to walk with them outside their enclosures. Fantastic!

Guests ask us at the Travelodge everyday what they should do and see, and the Wolf Center rolls off our tongues time and time again. This place is unique, family friendly and amazing value. I guess its alot like us and thats why we like it so much! The staff are always friendly and take great pride in what they... More

We booked the photography session for a recent Saturday morning and headed off to Golden. After an eventful drive-traffic, horrible road conditions, minor car problems, we arrived at Northern Lights. Shelley immediately made us feel very welcome and ran through the dos and don'ts, and out the door we went. Shelley and Casey took us, another couple, and Flora and... More

A small but interesting wildlife centre with well informed staff. The wolves appear to be well cared for and were close by so we had a good view. Shame the bear dogs have gone, and feel that to attract more visitors this wildlife centre needs to expand.

There were 7 wolves that we were able to see. We went in the early morning. The guide had quite a bit of energy...a lot of energy. (Almost too many coffees energy). Aside from that - its $12 bucks that doesn't go to waste but don't expect it to be a long event.

We drove off the highway and went hunting for this wolf centre. When we arrived we went to the gate and paid to go in. After we had paid and were in the centre, the lone staff member told us to walk "over there" and see the wolf. Yes, that's right, one wolf. Apparently the rest were out on a... More

It was very interesting and fun for our family of 8 adults and 6 little children. I personally have a problem with wild animals being kept in captivity, but these seemed to be very much loved and well looked after, and the educational opportunities provided probably overcome my objections. Wolves have such a bad rap in fairy tales and other... More
