Food at the fresh tracks cafe is exceptional. Luckily there was an Aussie barista so coffee was good too!

We were so excited to be visiting Whitewater as we had one opportunity to ski whilst on a trip from Australia to visit family in the Kaslo area of BC. However, we found out, just before we were due to ski, that management had decided to close the ski runs to save the snow for that coming weekend's end-of-season party....

Hi Barbara,
We are sorry to hear that our efforts to alleviate the inconvenience on your holiday were not sufficient. All of us at the resort were disappointed on the conditions mother nature gave us during those two days we closed and these operational decisions are tough to make. We were lucky that the temperatures did cool enough over Friday...

Great place to slay the pow and shred the gnar. One of my fav places is Whitewater. Can't beat the Koots powder
Big resorts can be over priced and over rated. Whitewater is no frills and it more than delivers where it counts, the terrain and the snow....and the overall mountain vibe. Locals are cool, friendly and they shred!
Just got back from Whitewater Resort in Nelson B.C. Amazing back country skiing, not for the novice or faint of heart. Beautiful jagged peaks, great scenery). Easy drive from Nelson which is a charming old ski town with great restaurants, one which features everything garlic (even cookies). Easy drive to the Mountain, not the swankiest of accomodations, pretty basic but...

Love everything about this mountain; skiing, other skiers and staff, dining, shop "and the smiles and friendliness. Skiing was wonderful. We are also big fans of Nelson, BC. Will go back next year!
Whitewater is definitely our favourite 'old-time' ski resort that delivers fabulous skiing, often on champagne-dry powder. It definitely lives up to Powder Magazine's claim: "One of the best powder mountains on the continent." Yes, two of the chairs are of the slow non-detachable two-seater variety while the newest, Glory Ridge, seats three, but the slow ascent just whets your appetite...

I am not a skier or boarder, but I can see why people love Whitewater! My daughter took me here to show me around and we enjoyed a great lunch outside in the sunshine admiring the beautiful mountains. She is an avid snowboarder and very good at it too! This is her favourite place to snowboard. I can clearly see...

Fun place to get a big workout. It's either all down or all up. NIce guy at the entrance shack will give you all the advice you need
Fantastic snow and terrain. Not for beginners as most of the runs are trees and glades. If you are looking for skiing other than groomers, then Whitewater is fantastic.
