Liked - had the place to myself mid-week early in May so I could take in the displays without anyone bothering me plus it is a beautifully designed building.
Disliked - most of the outdoor exhibits are off-limits. You can look but not enter.

Enjoyed it immensely. Very well put together. Interactive displays. Try to stump the volunteer engineers. Interactive train simulator and kids area. Tons of history if you like to read a lot. Nice gift shop. Expansion in progress but everything is accessibility. Go through a coach car, experience a steam locomotive up close.

Very interesting museum, featuring a huge steam locomotive, among other attractions.

Fascinating little museum that gives some insight into how Canada was confederated. Doesn't shy away from the more unseamly history around racism to the early Chinese immigrants. Around two hours worth of pottering around.
