We took my Grandfather, a former pilot, here and he loved it. The museum is run by volunteers. Our guide was a former pilot and very knowledgeable about the history of the planes in the museum and all the restoration efforts that went into each plane. The people who volunteer here have obviously put a lot of time and effort... More

Any American city or town near an airforce base has an air museum, but they mostly have the same planes - post WWII, mostly. This museum has only 30 planes, but they include some very rare ones: a Bristol Bolingbroke MK IV, the only Eastman E2 Sea Rover left in the world, and a Vickers Viscount, the first successful commercial... I was lucky enough to attend a dinner event that was hosted in the aviation museum. This was a stellar setting, with the hangar doors open to the night sky, incredibly helpful volunteers on hand to explain all of the exhibits and the restoration process, and in some cases with first-hand experience flying the aircraft. Highly recommend this small museum... More

Although we have lived here for years, we hadn't been until a friend came to visit. We spent an interesting couple of hours at the museum. Our plane buff friend thoroughly enjoyed the museum. The volunteer was helpful in describing what we were looking at and how the museum came to acquire the artifact. We also spent time viewing the... More

Outstanding aviation museum. Small but nice and with a dedicated staff. Great that they place an emphasis on Canadian aviation history. More

This is a nice, small air museum next to the Victoria airport. There is an interesting collection of planes, including a Bolingbroke that was restored at the museum. There is also a Noordyn Norseman and a T-33 Silver Star. There are some nice displays. The lady docent who showed me around was very knowledgeable and interesting. There is an on... More
