At the start of dam park you get a very very nice scenic view or mountains yeah and that too with no hike, you get down from bus or car, walk in park and you are standing at view....

If you are visiting North Vancouver on a nice day the Cleveland Dam is an interesting place to visit. You can walk along and see the dam from above and also walk down trails to view it from the side. The power of the water is quite something. The park area at the top of the dam is a perfect...

Enjoy Capilano Canyon for free without the hanging bridge. Great walk to the top from Marina Avenue, then very nice trails back down toward the fish hatchery and beyond. The views of Mt. Seymour and Grouse Mtn from the dam are awesome.

There are several hikes in this area that are great. You can travel below the dam both sides through the forest for a great little hike.

The Cleveland Dam Park is a great wide-open vista from which to see the Lions, Capilano Lake and the surrounding mountains (Grouse, Goat, and Dam I believe.) Beautiful park to picnic and stroll in. Water tends to really flow in the spring months. Nice views of Grouse Mountain. In the summer months, you can usually side the paragliders coming off the mountain

The Cleveland Dam is in North Vancouver, just a short 25 min drive from downtown Vancouver, north over the Lions Gate Bridge and up Capilano Road. Plenty of free on site parking, for an unforgetable view of the mountains and gondola to the north and the waterfall from the dam just steps away.
