Well worth a visit. Set in a tranquil river/forest area with plenty to see. The main site is tastefully presented with parts to interest children and adults. If you are going to Las Caux, don't miss this 55,000 year old cliff dwelling, used since prehistoric Neanderthal times, and again for defense in the Middle Ages. La Roque Saint-Christophe makes for an interesting couple of hours. There are interesting displays of some of the 'equipment' (winches, pulleys etc) that were used in medieval times, and the views down the Vezere valley are beautiful. More

This site is well worth visiting but make sure you have sturdy footwear because it's not always level underfoot. More
