One would visit Belur Halebid to see the temples so I guess what you get is what is there. The system of guides is streamlined by them only. Maybe the ASI should get in to the act and formalize their services through a Public Private Partnership so that tourists would not be in a quandary . One is always wary... More

If you love architecture or history or cultural stuff or just plain beauty (structurally speaking)...please visit. This temple belongs to the Chola dynasty, who must've taken fancy to stone monuments. The only place worth visiting in Belur. More

We had a guided tour of this temple and it's fair to say, you'll miss out on a lot if you don't use a guide. Everyone was kept interested in the temple and its ancient architecture by the guide. 1000+ year Old Indian Temple Architecture of Hoysala Reign. Avoid visiting this place during rainy days ( to make the best use of your camera) . The figurines and sculptures are so well crafted to look Life like. This Temple stays open from 7AM to 8 PM daily and is around 30 KM from Halebidu. More
