What a wonderful park! With so much life and so much to offer! This was the first safari me and my boyfriend had ever been on and we loved it! We even got close to lions! So many elephants and so many giraffe, they are all great! We only went for one day because we are in Tanzania as part... More

We have visited the Ruaha three times and love it. This time we were there for a week. The animal viewing was superb. The weather was wonderful. If you can only go to one place in Africa, this would be the place. .

If you have only a limited amount of time and want to see the animals of Tanzania, this is the park to go to.

This park has an abundance of wildlife - I never expected to see as much as I did. We got very close to feeding lions, elephants, giraffe, crocodiles, hippos and many other different types of wildlife. An experience of a lifetime that I would never forget.

I was impressed by the variety in landscapes and the density in game. The great Ruaha river gives many opportunities to spot wild life and there are quite some safe places for picknick outside the car.

This park is pure beauty, teeming with animals. There are large herds of elefants, zebras, buffalos, girafes, antelopes, etc. Prides of lions care also easily seen. The lucky ones might event spot a leopard. Accommodation in the park is very affordable. At Msembe Camp (run by the government), family cottages with 2 bedrooms and bathroom en suite are available for... More

I've visited Ruaha park twice, in dry season and right after the rainy season. Both times were amazing, but I loved the rainy season since the park was green and the river was wide and full of life. To me Ruaha park is exactly what I was expecting - all the animals and sceneries. It also is not full of... More

We arrived from Dar on a bus which stopped at Rivervalley Campsite 12km before Iringa. Our safari was organized by Warthog Adventures. They have an office in town with a bookshop and coffee shop. We emailed them before our arrival and found them very professional. The cars were amazing pop up roofs and fridges inside (very comfortable). They had different... More

We spent three days and nights at the Ruaha River Lodge in Ruaha National Park in Tanzania in November, 2011. Our family of 4 includes our 2 adult children, one of whom (Dan) has been serving with the Peace Corps in Tanzania. We spent 12 days in country, including several days in the small village where he has lived and... More
