I had wanted to go on a zodiac tour but could only get on the big boat. Staff was friendly and guide was enthusiastic but sound system was poor, I could only understand half of what was said.

WHALE TOUR: The waters off Tadoussac probably conceal some kind of whale traffic-control. Our 4-hour whale tour with Groupe Dufour was literally jumping with whales: fin whales, belugas, minke whales and the occasional pod of porpoises were breaching, jumping, creating huge blowhole bursts and generally makin' us crazy happy. The bilingual guide was excellent.

We went on the Dufour Cruise out of Baie Sainte Catherine and it was wonderful. We booked the VIP room which was nice, but unless it is really cold probably not worth the extra money (you get one free drink). The water temperature was 40 degrees F. so the air was cool enough that we Floridians needed a jacket or...

Despite the weather, I really enjoyed whale watching with Group Dufour. The bilingual staff are great.
