Had 3 exhibits open when we were there. If you want to learn more about the history of Quebec, there is a lot of information here, but I found it to be presented in very uninteresting ways. There are artifiacts with a small number, you find the number on the nearby LONG written explanations to find out info on them.... More

We visited the Musee de l'Amerique Francophone...fascinating exhibit about the early colony...the presentation was really unique...very different from the museums we are used to in Washington DC. A great destination for a cold rainy afternoon...

We visited this museum to further our education about Quebec history and we were not disappointed. Displays were informative and varied in type. Excellent film on more recent history. Section on history of indigenous people very well done - some wonderful birch bark artefacts. Made us proud to be Canadian and also to realize the importance of having Quebec as... More

If you grew up playing video games, either at home or in an arcade, the museum has a fantastic exhibit the chronicles their history, from the 1970's to today. There are examples of old games consoles, and numerous ones to actually play. The exhibit runs until 2014, so go relive a little bit our your childhood.

Lovely, well laid out museum with a nice gift store. I really like the history of the Ancient Quebecois. A perfect place to go when it's hot or raining-- or just because.

Very interesting museum that is intelligently planned and visually interesting. I especially enjoyed the comprehensive summary of Quebec history. Do not miss the free guided tours in English--excellent and informative.

Except for the fact that most things were in French, it was a great place to spend the afternoon with my son. A very Kid friendly place with some unique exhibits

We went for the Mauri exhibit (were a bit disappointed that they didn't have more music playing during the exhibit as it would have livened up the show for the kids). The other exhibits though were well worth seeing - one on Quebec history and the quiet revolution - great artifacts from days of old and expo '67; also exhibit... More

I'm a fan of museums and history, so I'd say I have a bias opinion on this one. I liked touring around this place to learn more about Quebec's history. I even learned a few new things. The visiting exhibits were neat too - at this time there was one about the history of video games (somewhat nostalgic) and one... More

Not everybody knows that there is Museum of Civilization not only in Ottawa, but in Quebec city too. One of the exhibits was about videogames with different bame boxes developed in 20th and 21st centuries. The other one we liked was about history of natives of Quebec. And third exhibit we visited was about Quebec province history. There was a... More
