Very people oriented; huge pedestrian area, bikes for 1, 2, 3, segways, water craft available for rent, sunbathing area at the Clock tower, Science centre, shops. lots of day cruises, bateau mouche tour and restaurant; don't buy any food from the vendors. Not worth the money; go back into Old Montreal to one of the hundreds of restaurants

Walk along the Port which is very nice then go up any of the side streets to Rue St. Paul, this is truly old Montreal with beautiful building and fantastic restaurants and shops. You will truly be spoiled for choice as to where to eat in this area as each restaurant offers excellent food at amazing prices. Lovely square and... More

Montreal's Old Port is a unique attraction, in winter and in summer. You can enjoy it spending a lot of money or not. Is great to just seat under a tree, on a bench or walk with an ice cream or a bottle of drink. Be a tourist in your city, grab your camera and enjoy the Old Port and... More

This is a nice sightseeing area, but there isn't a whole lot to do here, especially during the winter.

The old port of montreal will surprise you by the fact that many of the initial colonial buildings are still in place, and look almost exactly the same as when they were built from the initial settlement, however this part of montreal isn't so interesting but it does serve as a nice distraction from walking around downtown, and there are... Canada is such a young country, but Vieux-Port give you a flavor of an old continent, romantic cafes, beautiful architecture and vibrant streets full of tourists, artists and performers. It is a place to see when you are in town.

This was my first time here and I can't wait to come back in spring and summer. It is such a great place to walk around. So much to see and nice paths and streets to walk on. It feels safe and there is much to look at at every turn. I loved it here.

I took a Sunday Stroll around the old port, and you can see the ships all tied up at the jetties, basically iced in, although the main channel had floating ice, but never the less to see them just sitting there with white snow covering the water is something else

I went for a walk with my friends next to the Old Port of Montreal. This area really shows you the older face of the city which is as charming as its modern face. The restaurants there are pretty old and serve traditional food and fine wines.

We had someone visiting our town so despite the fact that we did not really like going there due to the difficulty to park around that area, we drove him there so he can be in the middle of the action. We walked on Notre-Dame, McGill then alongside the St-Lawrence river, watching other couples and bikers pass by. No wonder... More
