Another of Olmstead's urban beauties, with the Mount-Royal Park and Central Park, a wonderful place to relax. Watch out for high speed traffic on the bike path, however, they zoom by real quick and the markings are not obvious. More

Great place to have a picnic by the duck pond or just for a leisurely stroll. In summertime, there is entertainment in the evening at ¨Theatre de Verdure¨ ex: symphonic orchestra, ballet etc.and movies under the star. In winter, you can skate on the duck pond. Easily accessable by bus from métro. More

If you have enough of the city streets and need a stop.I think the park is nice to do that. But the park is not central. If you are in the Plateau stop for a minutes. It is a simple parc. More

When you need a break from sightseeing or shopping in Montreal, Parc Lafontaine a.k.a. Lafontaine Park is a great place to visit as long as the weather isn't too dismal. Located in the heart of the Plateau district, known for its trendy restaurants, cafés and distinctive architecture, the park is a place where Montrealers of all ages hang out in... More

This park is located east of downtown Montreal, maybe a few miles. It is big anough in size to go and relax. I do not see anything very special except its quietness and bigger than a usual park. More

We had been walking all around the city, down by the waterfront, all through the streets and didn't find a single playground. After much googling and searching, we found this park and pictures of a fabulous playground. We took a nice walk there from our hotel and took a chance we'd find the playground. After stalking some parents and strollers,... More

I visited Parc La Fontaine on my recent trip to Montreal. It was an oasis of calm and beauty near the lovely shopping area of Plateau Mont Royal. About a 20 minute walk from the Sherbrooke Metro, along Rue Cherrier I think. There are two lakes, curved walking paths, avenues of trees, Bixi bikes for use, just a lovely spot.... More
