Nice place for a nice quiet day out. Reasonably easy to get to from the city on public transport, but you feel like a million ks away. Great views of the lake and surrounding bush.
Went there in the morning before it got busy, nice peaceful place on Lake Ontario. Families, couples, singles all enjoying the outdoors. Bring a jacket if it's a little cool as the lake may have breezes. Families doing picnics, sitting on benches and reading all all happening.
Bluffers Park is a great place to visit on the south side of Scarborough and is only about 10 minutes from Highway 401. It has a large amount of parking (free parking Monday to Friday before 5 pm) and is not very busy on weekdays, during the day. It is a great spot to walk, bike, picnic, sight see, read... More
If you want to getaway from Toronto and don't want to go too far, this is the perfect place. I have gone there twice, both times on a weekday morning. There was hardly anyone around and parking was free. You have the lake on one side and the Bluffs on the other side. You can wander around or just sit... More
We went to this park on a weekend .. the beach was good .. not much crowded .. kids wud enjoy seeing the boats ... can spend few hours at this place .. there are no restaurants ... so pack ur food ...
The beach is quite long and wide - enough room for everyone. Parking however is a big problem especially on weekends, priced very reasonably though. Lifeguards on duty from noon to 6pm. The best thing about this particular beach is that you hear no cars, see no buildings - just the lake on one side and the cliffs behind you.... More
Terrible overcrowding in the parking lot. I paid $7 parked in spot that another driver had just pulled out of and when I returned to my car I had a $250
Great Day at the beach and right in the City. The Beach was quiet but it was a Friday. We walked down the beach to the east and found a spot for us to relax in the sun with very few people. Most are around the west end of the beach. This is a great spot for a day trip... More
If you are living in Toronto and surrounding, this is a perfect place to spend the day. It's a park and at the end of the road a beach. There is a changing room and shower but water is cold even during hot weather. Bring everything with you, there is nothing there but beach and sand. Not coffee no water... More
