Probably first warm and sunny weekend in June...everyone was outside playing, relaxing and picnicking in the parks and along the waterfront. A vibrant clean and seemingly safe area.

Spent a warm and sunny afternoon strolling along the boardwalk after three days of walking the city. Lots of interesting shops, galleries etc on Queen Street E. Imagine the area is packed on a fine weekend or during school vacations but midweek in early June was a great place to relax
Head over to the beaches for some R&R. The lake shore beaches are pleasant, and the main street is a nice walk. Lots of shops and snacks here.
used this restaurant at the airport ,busy, food was good nice portion ,however member of staff was the worst I had experienced in a long while of travelling must have seen her backside that morning . shame it spoilt the experience of this place. bar tariff not displayed menu not expensive
From our downtown Hotel we took a late morning ride to the Beaches and enjoyed a nice stroll on the Boardwalk...it wasn't too crowded and the cyclist were respectful. And to make this even more fun, we enjoyed a hot veal sandwich with spicy olives, just a great outing before a baseball game!
The Beaches is touristy. There are no good stores or restaurants. It is lacking character or charm. Outside of the summer months, when one can walk on the boardwalk, there is nothing to do. It is not worth the trip.
There is a lot to see in this neighborhood. You can stroll along through the streets for hours and look at the pretty houses. Very need place away from the loud and overcrowded city center.
There is so much to do and see at the Beaches. From the boardwalk to the sidewalk. Take a bike ride out and then spend some time waling around Queen Street East. Visit the various parks and sit down for a picnic or BBQ. Love it at the Beaches.
Like closeness to public transport, great parks, great views, lots of birds, beautiful streets and neighborhoods, lots of good places to eat and window shop. We'll try to stay in this area next visit to Toronto.
It is hard to believe that there is such a wonderful expansive beach in the middle of the biggest city in Canada. Relax on the sand or stroll the three km boardwalk or bike along the Martin Goodman Trail. Old willows shade the grassy areas. Kew Gardens hosts music or art and craft shows almost every weekend in the summer....
