This is a beautiful, peaceful cemetery with some of the most impressive trees and other greenery in the city. I may be biased since both my parents and late husband are buried there, but I find it to be never depressing and always inspirational in its beauty, whatever the season. A wonderful place for a walk, a run or a... More

This is a wonderful place to spend half a day. I have been only to the western half between Mount Pleasant Rd and Yonge street. You can wander around looking at the graves, some of which are really old and ornate. There are lots of trees and flowers and squirrels and chipmunks running around. More

Surprisingly a nice place to go for a walk on a Sunday afternoon... lot of beautiful trees, many people go there for running or biking or take pictures in spring in front of all those flowers! More

The cemetery is quite vast and you could walk for hours here - it's a nice place for a stroll on a hot day. There is an amazing array of trees and of course the graves are a history lesson. The main entrance is just north of the St. Clair Subway on Yonge Street. More

If you want a reflective stroll in a cemetery that reflects some of Toronto's history, this is the place. It also has a number of trees labeled (arboretum). If lost, follow the solid lines on the road to get to major arteries( Yonge or Mount Pleasant) More

Mount Pleasant Cemetery is a perfect blend of history, trees, sculptures, wildlife and gardens, and the icing on the cake is it is well used which adds another dimension to its appeal. Any day of the week there are joggers, walkers, office workers, mothers with strollers on the many paths as well as visiting family members at the graves. Despite... More
