There is a refurbished playground as of May, 2012 along with a miniature zoo in this park near Grenadier Pond which is actually a small lake. Especially in the spring, High Park is a great place to go. It is a beautiful park and the cherry bllossoms are out. Even with lots of people around you never feel it is crowded. There are places to wander, a restaurant, a zoo and it is free. It is worth a visit.

Toronto's answer to Central Park (we didn't win that fight) but it's beautiful nonetheless. Great way to spend a leisurely day but only if you've seen a bunch of other stuff first.

This is one of the best park in Toronto in my opinion.
It is a great place for families as there are plenty of play grounds, for cyclists having great bike paths and dog lovers with a designated off leash dogs area.
There is also tennis courts and a great restaurant too.
If you're going with the kids, dont forget...

One of the nicest parks I have been to- this is perhaps more for locals-but so many birds,plants,and so restful.
