Best in Timmins. Well maintained, challenging. Yardage not very long but tricky to play. Love it. Lots of sand and water. Bring bug spray in June.
.This golf course has been purchased by Gold Corp Mines along with the Shania Twain Centre and the area is in the process of becoming an active gold mine. Spruce Needles golf course is still open. I'm a Timmins resident.
Interesting, challenging, great shape, wonderful scenery, lots of sand, rocks, water and trees, not too long.
We were part of a golf tournament. The golfing was fine but the washroom was not pleasant. The place was not clean and the washroom was clearly under construction with plastic sheeting up on one side. The food that was a part of our banquet was not good. Mashed potatoes that had a skin on them from sitting there for... More
Challenging course but it needs a real clubhouse and washroom facilities. We've golfed many years and keep hearing the same thing - soon. Could offer better rates for families or non members and have good food all the time. Non members could become members some day.
Tough little friggin course to play your first time out, but a nice little stretch of Timmins to play it on. Lots of blind holes, but the best scenery of the three courses in Timmins (Hollinger, Spruce, Sandy Falls). Hosted the 2011 CIM Porcupine Branch Golf Tournament which was a fantastic day of golf.
Really wild elevation changes but I loved the layout. Every hole had a scenic view. Northern theme to the course was well maintained. Comes complete with course mascot (scrawny fox). Staff were very helpful and glad to have us there. One of the best in Northern Ontario.
