Take the boat tour to Dow's Lake. Worth your money as they explain some of the historical sites along the way as well as the history of the building of the canal. Very pleasant and relaxed boat ride. More

Ottawa is a gorgeous city, and the Rideau Canal is its finest jewel. I could walk or stroll along the canal everyday for hours. I have never visited it during winter, but during Sring it is beautiful, especially when the tulips are in blossom. No visit to Ottawa should skip a walk along the canal. More

we took the river cruise, which was delightful...but biking looks like it would be even better...200 km of biketrails in the city, many along the rivers and canals...the Rideau canal is very scenic...ride from city to large lake...we were there for the tulip festival...beautiful garden beds surrounded the lake area...
