Long Point Beach and Causeway are amount my favourite places to take a few hours and relax. It is only about a half hour drive from Tillsonburg but it offers a lot when it comes to sand, bird watching, fishing and so much more. Along the causeway into Long Point there is a couple of places to stop and watch... More

Tuesday January 31st,2012 was a beautiful sunny day here in Tillsonburg Ont. and a friend & I had decided to go down to "the Point" as we had heard that Bald Eagles had recently been seen in the area, as well as Trumpeter swans. We had just started down the causeway when 3 young(1to 3 yr. old) Bald Eagles flew... More

I may be biased since my parents have been retired here for the past 20 years but Long Point has been growing with popularity due to its beautiful beach, fishing, camping, canoeing, waterfowl-hunting, golfing, bird sanctuary and boating. Long Point was named a World Biosphere Reserve due to its wetland significance. I used to spend many summers relaxing here and... More

Long Point Provincial Park is a great family beach. Beautiful soft sand with plenty of room and picnic tables. The two bathroom/changing buildings are a plus. They even have a break in the sand dunes to easily reach the beach. The water is warm and often has wonderful waves. More

We've been going to this beach for the past 10 years or so. We enter via the provincial park ($15 for day pass). Park nearbthe washrooms and path over the dunes - once you're over the Dunes it's a dodo 10 degrees cooler and there's usually a nice breeze blowing. If you get there before 10 or 11 you can... More

This is a wonderful beach my family and I have been going to for the last 3 years. It's long, with fine sandy shore and sandy bottom (no water shoes required). The beach is natural - no washrooms, no services of any kind, no clean-up of any kind takes place (but garbage bins are standing at the entrances to the... More
