we cam out here at 9 o clock at night, due to the fact that sunset would not be until 11 30 we had ample time to enjoy the hike into the Falls themselves. Breathtaking views along the way and a final destination of absolute beauty made it an amazing adventure.

A business colleague suggested we go here and do the hike to go see the falls, and was I ever glad we did. It was a lovely sunny day and we did the hike at a decent pace, it takes 15-20 minutes to hit the falls and another 10-15 to go over the bridge to the other side. The falls... More

About 45km from yellowknife. The hike is only about 30 minutes. Amazing area. Beautiful scenery. Great for picnics and hiking. Would recommend this for everyone.

This is a great short hike, even the icy winter. Beautiful view of the falls and natural scenery. I would recommend going to the visitor's center to get a self-guided Cameron Falls geological tour book to get the most out of the hike.

I have done this trail twice. Once in the Spring and once in the Fall. Both times the trail was really fun. It is a little rugged but easy to do, an average person who does not excercise much will find it a little challenging however will still be able to do it no problem. As we came over the... More

Our group was in Yellowknife hunting aurora for 4 nights. I had researched and researched for other activities to do. This is a short and very scenic winter hike! Take your time and enjoy the scenery and take lots of pictures. Make sure you leave yourself time to come back before dark as the sky gets dark early in the... More

The walk is quite a long one in bear country so I would recommend to be prepared with bear mace but once the walking is done there is a lot of things to see and do as far as picnic and fishing and or camping if thats your thing, just expect to see people on and off.

I love hikes with waterfalls at the end--they are so rewarding! The hike is quite easy, not strenuous at all. Appropriate for any level. The trail has undergone a lot of improvements over the last few years and there are new stairs and boardwalks across the muckier parts of the trail. Cameron Falls isn't anything super spectacular, but it's a... More

This hike actually took about 40min's to hike- but was fantastic once you got there - take a snack and water because we could have stayed all day. There is actually another water falls that only takes under 10min's to get to at Hidden Lake and you can hike right up to the base of it for pictures to look like... The road from Yellowknife is pretty bumpy and the hike takes a bit of effort, but that's part of the fun. Cameron Falls is pretty scenic and there are several vantage points along the trail. It was a good experience on a nice Fall day.
