Visitors must go to Signal Hill. Great views and photo ops and a great walk. Everytime I visit I come up to Signal Hil. Definitley a must do in St. JOhn's. Especially when the sun is out - make sure to go because the fog can roll in here at a moments notice and you won't get any good photos!

Signal Hill is steeped in history and has breathtaking views. Be prepared for high winds and bring warm coats/sweaters for the cold temperatures coming off the ocean.

My husband and I enjoyed a chilly trip around the trails at the top of St. John's. The views were spectacular and the grounds are well maintained. There is also a pleasant little gift shop with the Marconi Museum - a great place to take refuge from the wind for a bit.

This was a must see experience while in St-John's. Beautiful views of the Narrows, Cape Spear and the city of St-John's. Surrounded by lovely picturesque trails. Wear good shoes, bring your camera and feast your eyes!

Signal Hill is a nice place to stay. The view over the harbor and the town of St. John's are very good. But where there is a parking in this town?

A better view awaits you at Cape Spear... Not a hike to be attempted by the faint of heart. Appreciate the explanatory signs littered a little throughout the site: always helps to put historical significance within a context. Worhwhile if you want to get a good shot of St Johns Cityscape for your photo album.

I so enjoyed visiting Signal Hill. The views are incredible and the history is fascinating. I did the whole walk back around the hill to the city, and loved it. There's one short part of the walk above a cliff where there's a chain to hold onto (a wise forethought), so give that part a miss if you've not got... More

Take your time and walk to Signal Hill (I stopped at the Eco-Center) but my hubbie the history buff continued to the top and really enjoyed learning about it and took lots of pictures to show me what I missed :-)

If you are in St Johns, you must visit Signal Hill. You will have the most incredible views across the ocean and city, and can take walks around the cliff edges from simple strolls to hours of trails. As much as this spot has historical interest, my visits are simply for the views and walks, take binoculars and a camera... More

Was there today to take some pictures. This is an awesome place, well located and full of history. You have a great view on the City of St John's... its the best view possible. Let's get up there, its free and a good place to do excercise.
