I work nearby so I am here a lot. I walk over on lunch hours to enjoy the ambiance and have a bite to eat. All the people running the various shops and food kiosks are very helpful and friendly. There is always good entertainment around. Go you will really enjoy your time there!

The Forks appears to be the place to go in the summer with the shops, restaurants, river features, live entertainment.
Terrific shops, historic sites and wonderful kiosks and restaurants to enjoy lunch, dinner or just a snack.
Great place to visit, especially when the weather is great, vibrant, alive lots going on, wouldnt even know you were in Winnipeg!
Love The Forks for the walking paths, the shops, the history, and the location. Each year seems to get better and better. We will eventually have the Human Rights Museum opening some time within the next year which will add a new dimension to this historical site. Beautiful place for weddings and pictures. Poor parking. Construction areas taking up most of the green space. What a shame that the city thinks that just because there is grass that they have to put a building on it.
This site was formerly part of Via Rail, so the buildings are old, feature stoned walls, walkways. While it has a tremendous variety of stores and businesses, it also has fun things, entertainment in the Rotunda, places to go for walks, and to enjoy the out doors.
