A quick walk from the MOV takes you to this little gem.
An excellent maritime display, including history of Vancouver. Of course, the main exhibit (the RCMP St-Roch) is to be seen and touched. We were not even aware that this vessel existed and was key in Canada,s north discovery and protection (I guess this is why we go to...

We were recommended to visit here by a wooden boat builder and impressed by St. Rock. It is a very educational experience to climb up to the ship and see how small cabins were back then and how high these men had to climb up the masts. We were reading on Endurance ship which was lost in Antarctica so it...

This museum is small, but great thigs often are in small packages! It's a truly wonderful way to spend an afternoon, learning about Vancouver and indeed Canada's rich Maritime history. I found it particularly fantastic that you can actually climb aboard the St Roch (RCMP ship built to patrol the Canadian Arctic and subsequently the first ship to completely circumnavigate...

Who would have thought it could be so much fun to walk the decks of the St. Roch? Really recommended if you have an extra couple of hours, and especially if you're already...

You can get on the ship and look through cabins and wheelhouse. Adjacent is a low building housing the rest of the museum which deals with Vancouver's...

Love looking at all the models and reading the storries of their history and the St. Rock makes it worthwhile just for that itself.

I liked it but didn't love it. I think you have to be a real maritime enthusiast to love it.

I've seen this iconic building near Kits beach but never made the time to give. I was geocaching in the area and checked in. The prices were very affordable and the displays were outstanding. Had a 4year old and a 9year old boy with me. Both were no stop until closing time with "Dad look at this". The main attaction,...

We thoroughly enjoyed this museum. The range of exhibits is vast and everything is so well presented and researched. We particularly enjoyed the St Roch, the' Mounties Ship' and sharing her adventures.
