What more can you say - they're fun, quick, and if you bring your four-legged friend, they'll usually have treats on hand too! It's a heck of a lot easier than trying to flag down a cab that will take you (since many cab drivers cannot have dogs in their vehicles due to religious restrictions). Can be a bit pricey...

Great view of Vancouver from the water. No fighting traffic and quick drop off at the dock and then you just pop back down when you are ready to leave.
The ferries come often and cost under $3 one way. They only drop off in 2 places so be sure to ask which location would be closest to your hotel.
The taxi's were small little boats. The drivers were helpful and courteous. Fun way to get around. The price was around 5.00 round trip.
These little boats are a great way to get around the False Creek area of Vancouver. From Yaletown to Vanier Park to name just 2 stops they are quite reasonable, a definate alternative to buses.
Fast, regular and cheap way to move around Granville island and neighbouring areas. We used these little taxi ferries several times to cross the waterways.
just a spur of the moment on hearing someone talking about it, but jumped on a little water taxi and had a trip up False Creek! had a nosey at the 2 storey boat houses that line along one side of the creek(about 10 of them). lovely unexpected journey.
What a great way to travel in Vancouver! Cute little boats that can get you and even your bike to and from granville island and some other points of interests. Amazing friendloy staff!
I always take visitors down to Granville Island to board the Aquabus for a tour of False Creek. It's a great way to see this exciting part of the city and all the better if you do it around sunset on a lovely day
