We had just driven up the Pacific coast hwy from LA to San Francisco and thought those views could not be surpassed. That was until we drove up to Whistler on the Sea to Sky highway. Words cannot describe the beauty of this drive where the fabulous snow covered mountains meet the pacific ocean and Whistler is fantastic.

I kid you not. Compared to the Amalfi Drive, or the road to Big Sur from SF, the scenery and driving conditions on the S2S highway beat them hands down.
Absolutely gorgeous Howe Sound backdrops, then up past the Tantalus range on to Whistler and beyond, you couldn't want for anything better on a clear day.

We travelled the Sea to Sky Highway on the bus and it was really beautiful. I would love to do it again at my own pace and stop at all the view points (of which there are many) and really take in all the natural beauty.

On a sunny day, nothing beats this stretch of paradise. The view of the ocean and the snow capped mountains defines Vancouver and BC. The road is great after fixing it for the Olympics. Don't speed though! Continue to Whistler and have a fantastic day!
