This is a nice little park but it's very busy in summer. I come here because there's geocaches hidden here. (geocaching - high tech treasure hunting using a GPS)

Laurier Park is a good place to park so you can go somewhere else. It's handy to the river valley trails, the Valley Zoo and the Buena Vista off leash area, but there's really nothing special at the park itself. It's my neighbourhood park, and it's ok for walks or picnics with the little ones. The parking is problematic, especially when you have to carry picnic baskets and toddlers

I do like this dog park and the trails through the river valley that also connects to Hawrelak park. This is especially convenient during Heritage days in August when parking is non-existent at Hawrelak. You can walk for miles and not see many other people which is both good and bad. I'm not sure I would walk there alone without...
